The U.S. military just took a bold step to keep our fighting force lethal, and the Democrats lost their minds. On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that the Pentagon will begin annual testosterone-deficiency screening for service members age 30 and older as part of their regular health assessments. Clinically low testosterone leads to exhaustion, loss of strength, impaired concentration, and depressed mood. These aren’t minor inconveniences for desk jockeys. These are killers for infantry, pilots, operators, and anyone carrying the load in combat. Restoring what’s naturally supposed to be there isn’t \u201cenhancement.\u201d It’s maintenance. It’s readiness.<\/p>\n

Enter the Democrats, who immediately proved they can’t tell the difference between a man getting his God-given testosterone back and chemically transitioning children. Sen. Adam Schiff wrote that Hegseth came out in favor of \u201cgender-affirming care.\u201d Sen. Mazie Hirono asked if the Pentagon is now promoting it. Sen. Tammy Duckworth said it sounds like gender-affirming care to her. Rep. Pramila Jayapal called the whole thing absurd in a House hearing and blasted it on X as \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d that debunks Republican attacks on trans issues, while labeling Hegseth the \u201cSecretary of Forever Wars.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is peak clown world from the party that spent years pushing experimental hormones and surgeries on minors, often without real parental consent or long-term evidence. They turned \u201caffirmation\u201d into a sacrament\u2014and screamed \u201cbigotry\u201d at anyone who asked basic questions about biology, desistance rates, or the exploding number of confused adolescents. Now the same crowd looks at basic screening for a real, treatable deficiency in adult service members and has a meltdown. They literally cannot distinguish between optimizing a warfighter’s natural biology and their own agenda for teenagers.<\/p>\n

That’s not a policy disagreement. That’s a collapsed worldview. The Left has so thoroughly marinated in gender ideology that basic male physiology triggers their reflexes. A warrior getting treatment to lift exhaustion and rebuild strength? To them, that’s the same as putting a kid on puberty blockers. They have lost the plot so completely that restoring what God and nature intended reads as \u201ctrans\u201d to their deranged sensors. Meanwhile, they ignore the very real costs of low testosterone on the force that protects this republic.<\/p>\n

To be clear, the medical establishment’s guidelines recommend against routine population-wide screening and caution that low-T shouldn’t be diagnosed on labs alone. Some doctors warn about overtreatment and insist testosterone is not a performance drug. That’s their position, and fair enough for debate in clinical settings. But the military isn’t running a population study\u2014it’s assessing the people we ask to close with and destroy the enemy. Voluntary, targeted optimization for adults who volunteered to serve isn’t the same as the pediatric interventions Democrats championed. The contrast couldn’t be sharper.<\/p>\n

This announcement isn’t radical. It’s common sense. For too long, the Pentagon chased every social fad the Left peddled\u2014diversity quotas, pronoun trainings, recruitment crises fueled by woke nonsense. Hegseth is reversing that, refocusing on lethality, biology, and winning. High testosterone isn’t toxic; it’s foundational to the masculine strength that built civilizations, defended freedom, and crushed tyrants. Cuban exiles like my family know this in our bones. We fled communism’s war on the family and human nature. We don’t buy the lie that men are defective or optional.<\/p>\n

Democrats’ reflexive mockery exposes their sickness. They mock strength. They pathologize normal male biology while celebrating confusion in the young. They want a military more concerned with feelings than firepower, more attuned to activist demands than battlefield dominance. America First rejects that poison. We want warriors at peak performance\u2014mentally sharp, physically dominant, spiritually grounded.<\/p>\n

Pete Hegseth’s High-T Department of War is a signal. The adults are back in charge. We’re done apologizing for biology. We’re done pretending weakness is virtue. Service members who need it can get screened, get treated if appropriate, and get back to the mission stronger. The rest of us should cheer it as the bare minimum for a serious nation. And every time a Democrat screams \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d at basic health optimization for our troops, remember: that’s not compassion.
